The teachers, principal and children gave me a wonderful welcome! In the evening the teachers had a Screeching In for me and my husband Joe, For someone visiting Newfoundland for the first time it is a longtime custom to be Screeched In. I enjoyed it all, except for kissing the Codfish!!
     It's wonderful that a school in a small town could have so much enthusiasm to become the winner out of thousands of entries. Thanks to everyone, especially wonderful teacher Maureen Hiscock and school Principal Darlene Sullivan.

A visit to Newfoundland

     I'm back from visiting Woodland Primary School in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland, the winning school of the 2011 Jan Brett Free School or Library visit.
